Practice Innovation Director

The Opportunity:

A leading global law firm is seeking a Director, Practice Innovation to lead the strategy, delivery, and evolution of its enterprise applications, data platforms, and AI capabilities. This role can sit in their Chicago, New York or Washington DC office.

This executive leadership role will oversee a modern technology portfolio spanning enterprise applications, data engineering, automation, and AI, while partnering with business leaders to deliver innovative, secure, and scalable technology solutions that enhance legal service delivery and business operations.

• Develop and execute the firm's strategy for enterprise applications, data platforms, automation, and AI.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across enterprise applications, data engineering, and AI platforms.
• Drive the delivery of modern cloud-based solutions that improve operational efficiency and enable AI adoption.
• Partner with Technology, Information Security, Knowledge Management, and business stakeholders to align technology investments with strategic priorities.
• Establish governance, architecture standards, and best practices across enterprise platforms.
• Manage strategic technology vendors, budgets, and roadmaps while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

You are an experienced technology leader with a proven track record of delivering enterprise applications, data, and AI initiatives within a complex organisation.

• Significant leadership experience across enterprise applications, data platforms, digital transformation, or AI.
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies, enterprise architecture, data management, automation, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Experience leading large cross-functional technology teams and enterprise-scale transformation programmes.
• Excellent stakeholder management, strategic planning, and people leadership skills.
• Experience with in professional services, legal, financial services, or another highly regulated industry is highly desirable.
