DEVOPS ENGINEER

As a Dev Ops Engineer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customer. You will play a crucial role in engineering a modernization effort to converge our customer’s authoring, dissemination, and other supporting tools.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Dev Ops Engineer must have:
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. - Experience:
15+ years of related experience - Technical skills: A strong Dev Ops background will be needed to deploy applications, install and configure complex software, manage network servers and technology tools, monitor and maintain the system for required levels of performance and trouble shoot issues and outages.
- Security clearance level: TS/SCI w/Poly
- US citizenship required
- Role requirements:
Candidates must have experience with: - Linux
- AWS, MASH, and VMs
- Docker Swarm
- Deployments of distributed web applications (e.g. Git Lab CI/CD)
- Terraform scripting and VM provisioning
- Ansible scripting and development
- Thorough understanding of Docker & Docker Compose container technology
- Git
- Python scripting and development
- NiFi maintenance and configuration
- Elasticsearch maintenance and configuration
- Java / Spring Boot (troubleshooting error logs)
- HAProxy
- MongoDB

The likely salary range for this position is $164,382 - $212,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
