MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACTAs a Dev Ops Engineer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission. You will play a crucial role in the Dev Ops engineering of a modernization effort to converge the customers authoring, dissemination, and other supporting tools.
Responsibilities will include: deploying applications; installing and configuring complex software; managing network servers and technology tools; monitoring and maintaining the system for required levels of performance; and troubleshooting issues and outages.
Candidates will be required to work a rotating pager schedule for emergency 24/7 call-in support as required (roughly one week out of every 4-6 weeks). Staff may charge 4 additional hours for the week they are on call in addition to hours worked.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEEDBring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT/ Praxis Engineering. The Dev Ops Engineer must have:
Security clearance level: TS/SCI W/ Poly
US citizenship required
Education:
Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
Experience:
5+ years of related experience
Technical skills:
- Linux
- AWS and VMs
- Docker Swarm
- Deployments of distributed web applications (e.g. Git Lab CI/CD)
- Terraform scripting and VM provisioning
- Ansible scripting and development
- Thorough understanding of Docker & Docker Compose container technology
- Git
Desired Technical
Skills:
- Bash scripting and development
- Elasticsearch maintenance and configuration
- Java / Spring Boot (troubleshooting error logs)
- HAProxy
- MongoDB
