Overview
A well-respected law firm in Mid-Atlantic is immediately seeking an Experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney with 5-10 years to join its collaborative and dynamic team.
This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated matters involving general commercial litigation, construction disputes, and surety law
.
- Represent clients in construction, surety, and commercial matters from initial investigation through trial and appeal.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and legal memoranda.
- Conduct and defend depositions, manage written discovery, and handle regular court appearances.
- Provide strategic legal counsel and participate in settlement negotiations and mediations.
- Work independently while also collaborating closely with senior attorneys and partners.
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active Maryland Bar membership (DC or VA admission a plus).
- 5–10 years of relevant litigation experience, including substantial courtroom and deposition experience.
- Excellent analytical, writing, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience representing contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, or sureties is strongly preferred.
- Salary Range: $110,000–$150,000, commensurate with experience.
- Opportunity for both objective and subjective bonus compensation.
