A respected plaintiff-side litigation firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Paralegal with strong civil litigation experience, primarily in medical malpractice and sexual abuse/personal injury matters.
This role requires a seasoned professional who can independently manage an active caseload, support attorneys through all phases of litigation, and contribute meaningfully to trial preparation. The ideal candidate has multi-state experience, is highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities- Support attorneys in plaintiff-side personal injury cases, with a strong emphasis on medical malpractice and sexual abuse litigation
- Prepare and file lawsuits in state and federal courts
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents
- Manage e-filing in both federal and state jurisdictions
- Maintain and track court deadlines, hearing dates, and client obligations
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial dates
- Prepare attorneys for case-related meetings, depositions, mediation, and trial
- Assist with trial preparation and provide in-court trial support as needed
- Organize and maintain case files, exhibits, and discovery materials
- Communicate professionally with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Minimum 5+ years of civil litigation experience, specifically on the plaintiff side
- Strong background in personal injury litigation, preferably medical malpractice
- Experience preparing and filing complaints and managing cases from inception through resolution
- Trial preparation experience required; trial attendance experience strongly preferred
- Mediation experience preferred
- Experience managing multi-state litigation is a plus
- Proficiency with e-filing systems in state and federal courts
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe
- Experience with Filevine or similar case management software preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
$65,000 - $80,000 a year
