Small downtown law firm seeks a dedicated, experienced full-time legal assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in legal administrative tasks. Must have at least three years of experience, type 85 words per minute, and possess excellent grammar and punctuation skills. Experience with Microsoft Office required. Must be proficient in assisting multiple attorneys with management of busy litigation schedules.
Salary commensurate with experience.
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents and correspondence
- E-filing: PACER, MDEC
- Organize and maintain legal files and documents (Net Documents file management system)
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
- Support attorneys in litigation preparation and case management
- Manage calendars, appointments, and travel arrangements for legal team
- Draft contracts and other legal documents under attorney supervision
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant is required
- Familiarity with organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment
