A detail oriented, customer focused Import Customer Service Representative is needed to support a growing logistics and import operations team. This role is ideal for candidates with backgrounds in logistics, customer service, administrative support, import/export, or supply chain. You'll manage import documentation, coordinate shipments, communicate with customers, and ensure compliance throughout the import lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Account Support- Serve as the primary customer contact for import shipments and documentation.
- Maintain accurate customer records and account information.
- Provide regular shipment updates and ensure exceptional service.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Review and validate import documentation for accuracy.
- Process Importer Security Filings (ISF) and customs entry data.
- Prepare commercial documents required for import clearance.
- Audit invoices, certificates of origin, entry summaries, and customs documents.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable import regulations.
- Monitor shipment status and proactively update customers.
- Coordinate cargo tracking with ocean carriers, airlines, and transportation partners.
- Assist in resolving shipment delays or issues.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and status logs.
- Enter and maintain data in company systems.
- Support invoicing by providing rate and cost details to accounting.
- Assist with reporting, recordkeeping, and special projects.
- Organize and maintain operational files and documentation.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service, admin support, logistics, transportation, or related fields.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Comfortable with computer systems and data entry.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong customer service mindset and relation shipbuilding skills.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
