Purchasing Lead; Procurement

We’re conducting a confidential search for a fast‑growing specialty products distributor seeking a Purchasing Lead to support and guide a small purchasing team. Ideal for someone with 1+ years of purchasing experience looking for a step‑up role with visibility and impact.

What You’ll Do

• Enter, confirm, and update purchase orders
• Track ship dates, pricing changes, and MOQ updates
• Follow up with vendors on backorders and alternate sourcing
• Process drop‑ship POs and sales orders
• Liaise with accounting + warehouse to resolve discrepancies
• Review backorder risk reports and reduce occurrences
• Assign PO follow‑ups to purchasing assistants
• Support internal sales teams with product availability questions

What You Bring

• 1+ years purchasing experience
• Experience guiding workflow or supporting junior team members
• ERP experience; Net Suite is a plus
• Strong accuracy, follow‑through, and multitasking
• Clear communication and customer‑service mindset
• Schedule: Mon–Fri
• On‑site to start; transitions to hybrid (3 in office / 2 remote) after ramp‑up
• Supports a team of four purchasing personnel (no formal direct reports)
• Reports to the VP of Operations

Compensation

$60,000–$70,000 target range, depending on experience.
