Materials Specialist Perioperative

Life Bridge Health is seeking a Materials Specialist Perioperative to support efficient surgical operations at our Maryland facilities. In this role, you will manage perioperative inventory, ensure timely ordering, receipt, and distribution of surgical supplies and implants, and maintain accurate stock levels within OR and procedural areas. You will collaborate closely with nursing, surgeons, and supply chain to forecast needs, resolve backorders, and maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

This position supports high-quality, compassionate patient care through reliable materials availability and continuous process improvement in perioperative services.

Responsibilities

• Manage perioperative inventory levels for OR and procedural areas
• Order, receive, and distribute surgical supplies and implants
• Maintain accurate records in inventory and materials management systems
• Collaborate with nursing, surgeons, and supply chain on product needs and availability
• Monitor expiration dates and ensure proper storage and rotation of supplies
• Resolve backorders and substitute products in coordination with clinical staff
• Support regulatory and safety compliance for perioperative materials
• Assist with cycle counts, audits, and inventory reconciliation
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste and support cost-effective utilization
• Coordinate with vendors and internal logistics for timely deliveries
