Materials Specialist Perioperative

Life Bridge Health seeks a Perioperative Materials Specialist to support surgical services by ensuring accurate, timely availability of supplies and implants. Responsibilities include ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating inventory; maintaining par levels; coordinating with OR nurses, surgeons, and vendors; tracking usage for case carts; resolving backorders; and supporting regulatory and infection-prevention standards. This role collaborates closely with clinical teams to optimize supply chain efficiency, control costs, and support safe, high-quality perioperative care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain perioperative supply and implant inventory levels
• Order, receive, inspect, and stock supplies for surgical services
• Assemble and replenish case carts based on surgery schedules
• Monitor usage trends and adjust par levels to reduce stockouts and waste
• Coordinate with OR staff, surgeons, vendors, and central supply
• Resolve backorders, substitutions, and urgent supply needs
• Maintain accurate inventory records in materials management systems
• Support compliance with infection prevention and regulatory standards
• Participate in periodic physical inventory counts and audits
• Contribute to process improvement and cost-control initiatives
