Senior Manager, Trade Compliance

The Opportunity

An established multinational organisation is seeking a Senior Manager, Global Trade Compliance to play a key role within its Americas trade compliance function.

This is a high-visibility opportunity to take ownership of U.S. Customs, imports and tariffs
, strengthen existing processes, and help shape the continued development of the regional function.

• Lead U.S. and regional trade compliance, with a strong focus on Customs and imports
• Strengthen trade compliance processes, controls and procedures
• Oversee customs broker relationships and performance
• Drive tariff mitigation and duty optimisation initiatives
• Lead compliance risk assessments, audits and corrective actions
• Drive cross-functional compliance and process improvement projects
• Partner with stakeholders across supply chain, logistics, finance, tax and legal
• Provide guidance and leadership within the regional trade compliance team

• Significant experience in U.S. trade compliance and Customs
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs and import regulations
• Experience managing customs brokers and complex import operations
• Proven ability to drive compliance and process improvement initiatives
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) highly advantageous
• People leadership experience beneficial, but not essential

Industry background is flexible.
Strong U.S. trade compliance expertise is the priority.

This position requires regular office presence within the Washington, DC Metro Area and existing U.S. work authorisation.
