Evening Custodian

Pay Rate: $17.95 per hour

Weekend availability required (Saturday & Sunday)

Join our team and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for employees and visitors. This position is essential to ensuring high standards of cleanliness in public areas, work spaces, and executive zones.

• Follow all agency policies, contract specifications, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain personal hygiene and comply with uniform standards.
• Perform cleaning and sanitizing tasks in restrooms, kitchens, break rooms, fitness centers, and child care areas.
• Restock supplies such as paper products and soap.
• Clean and polish furniture, glass, mirrors, and metal surfaces.
• Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and scrub tile.
• Remove trash and recycling, ensuring proper disposal.
• Maintain cleanliness in elevators, stairwells, and building exteriors.
• Assist with special cleaning projects and emergency clean-ups.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and maintain tools in good condition.
• Move and arrange furniture or heavy items as needed.
• Comply with BWI security procedures for unescorted access privileges.

• Inventory and equipment maintenance.
• Floor care: stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet shampooing.
• Support special events with setup and takedown.
• Snow and ice removal from exterior areas.
• Other tasks as assigned.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb stairs for extended periods.
• Lift and carry up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Work in dusty environments or adverse weather conditions.

• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.
• Report issues promptly and comply with safety standards.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely.
• Maintain a positive, respectful attitude toward others.
• Flexible schedule: days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of custodial experience preferred; training available.
