Overview

Jet Blast, Inc. offers a full line of hydro blasters and vacuum trucks used in a variety of industrial fields and applications such as cleaning chemical refineries, food industry, waste water treatment, clean water treatment, ship yards, and storm drain maintenance. We have been in business since 1979 with our office located in Curtis Bay, MD. We are an emergency based company, so not all jobs will be scheduled in advance.

This position is not just a driving position. You will also be doing physical labor to assist other employees with setting up and breaking down equipment & expected to assist in all labor aspects of each job.

Responsibilities

• Performing industrial maintenance cleaning work, including vacuuming industrial waste/materials (solids, sludges, and liquids), water blast cleaning various surfaces and jetting sewer, water or process lines.
• Drive and operate industrial vacuum trucks, hydro blasters, and jetter combo trucks.
• Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of assigned vehicles.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment, ensuring they are in proper working condition and reporting any issues promptly.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as checking fluid levels, inspecting hoses and fittings and cleaning filters.
• Accurately record and maintain job specific documentation including work orders, inspection reports and incident reports.
• Support and assist colleagues with various tasks as needed, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.

Requirements

• Possess a CDL Class B license with tanker endorsement.
• Must have the willingness to train.
• Must be able to work weekends as needed.
• Must be able to read and write in English so that employees can complete job related paperwork necessary for billing and payroll.
• Must be able to drive a manual transmission.
• Must be able to work in extreme work environments and conditions, including working in confined spaces.
• Must have the ability to be proactive and troubleshoot on the job site.
• Must be willing to work overtime when emergencies come in or there is a full schedule.
• Employee is directly responsible for assisting in the establishment and implementation of all safety practices on a per job basis.
• Must be physically capable of instituting such practices, without posing a threat to the health and safety of themselves and/or colleagues.
• Previous outdoor labor, driving or construction experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 60 per week
