Overview
This role is with a leading construction firm in the DC metro area, delivering high-profile projects across institutional, commercial, residential, healthcare, and mixed-use sectors. From ground-up builds to major renovations, our reputation is built on quality, safety, and the ability to execute complex projects at scale.
We’re seeking an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of large-scale construction projects. This role is ideal for a detail-driven leader who thrives on collaboration, problem-solving, and delivering results.
Responsibilities- Full Project Ownership – Manage projects through all phases: preconstruction, procurement, execution, and closeout.
- Budget & Schedule Control – Develop and monitor project budgets, schedules, and cash flow, identifying risks early and driving solutions.
- Client & Stakeholder Relations – Serve as the primary point of contact with owners, architects, engineers, and consultants.
- Team Collaboration – Partner with Superintendents, Estimators, and Purchasing teams to ensure smooth operations and successful delivery.
- Subcontractor Management – Select, negotiate, and oversee subcontractors to ensure top performance and quality.
- Risk & Compliance – Maintain adherence to contract requirements, safety standards, and company policies.
- Leadership – Provide guidance and mentorship to junior project staff, fostering growth and accountability.
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager with a general contractor or specialty contractor.
- Proven experience managing ground-up and large-scale construction projects.
- Strong background in budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and contracts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with site utilities and structural concrete work preferred.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Lead landmark projects that shape the DC region’s skyline and communities.
