This role ensures that all operational service lines operate in compliance with enterprise policies, regulatory requirements, and internal control standards. The Director partners closely with Enterprise Risk to align operational risk management to the enterprise risk framework, enabling strong risk discipline, audit readiness, and transparent decision making while supporting operational performance and continuous improvement.

What

You’ll Do
  • Define and execute the operational governance, risk, and compliance strategy aligned to enterprise objectives and the enterprise risk framework.
  • Establish governance forums, decision rights, and accountability models across operational service lines.
  • Advise Operations leadership on risk exposure, control effectiveness, and alignment to enterprise risk appetite.
  • Lead identification, assessment, and mitigation of operational, regulatory, and reputational risks in coordination with Enterprise Risk.
  • Maintain operational risk registers, key risk indicators, and control frameworks aligned to enterprise standards.
  • Own operational compliance policies, monitoring, and reporting activities and partner with Enterprise Risk, Legal, Finance, IT, and other enterprise teams to ensure integrated risk management.
  • Lead operational readiness for internal and external audits and examinations and ensure timely remediation of findings and sustainable corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain operational risk and compliance reporting for leadership and governance committees and establish standards for incident management, business continuity, and operational resilience.
  • Drive the use of automation, analytics, and digital tools to improve control effectiveness and monitoring and partner with technology teams to embed governance and compliance capabilities into operational processes.
  • Foster a culture of risk ownership, ethical conduct, and accountability across Operations and influence leaders and teams through guidance, coaching, and standards rather than direct people management.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field.
  • Ten or more years of progressive experience in operational risk, governance, or compliance.
  • Experience partnering with enterprise risk functions and operating within enterprise risk frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, audit practices, and control frameworks.
  • Experience with digital risk, compliance, or workflow automation tools.
  • Proven ability to influence across functions and senior leadership without direct authority.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading operational readiness for internal and external audits and examinations.
