Senior Project Manager – Gilbane Building

Responsibilities
  • Develop project safety plans with corporate safety and provide jobsite leadership.
  • Develop project controls and procedures to manage complex project requirements; own mitigation of high‑risk items.
  • Manage project financial forecast, notice provisions, and billings to meet contract requirements; take corrective actions to address deviations noted in project vitals.
  • Create and manage a project‑specific quality plan aligned with the Owner contract and assist with execution.
  • Create and manage a closeout plan aligned with the contract documents and assist with execution.
  • Provide leadership in motivating the project team and maintain a positive work environment. This includes direct supervision of work, project administration, project superintendents, and engineers to establish operational priorities.
  • Develop subcontracting strategy; review and write scopes and other deliverables to ensure the integrity of the buyout process.
  • Implement and enforce all aspects of contracts; create and lead a risk‑mitigation plan; prepare draft contracts, agreements, and purchase orders.
  • Assume accountability for enrollment for insurance and bonds and manage the compliance process for trade contractors.
  • Lead the development of the project estimate and manage the project and estimating teams to meet contractual obligations.
