Shape the Future of High's Convenience Stores High's Convenience Stores is seeking an accomplished and visionary retail leader to serve as our next Vice President of Retail Operations. This is an opportunity to help shape the future of one of the Mid-Atlantic region's most respected convenience store brands, leading operational excellence across a growing network of stores throughout Maryland and Delaware.

As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Vice President of Retail Operations will provide strategic direction and operational leadership for all retail locations, driving financial performance, customer experience, talent development, and sustainable growth.

The successful candidate will bring extensive experience leading multi-unit convenience store operations, including fuel and food service businesses, along with a passion for developing high-performing teams and a proven track record of driving operational excellence, profitability, and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities Develop and execute retail operating strategies that drive revenue growth, profitability, customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and long-term business success.

Lead, coach, and develop District Managers and field leadership teams, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, continuous improvement, and high performance.

Oversee retail operational performance, including P&L accountability, budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, performance metrics, and achievement of key business objectives.

Partner with the Senior Leadership Team to identify and execute strategic initiatives that support organizational growth, operational effectiveness, and long-term success.

Drive continuous improvement through process optimization, technology adoption, operational efficiencies, and scalable business practices.

Ensure consistent execution of brand standards, customer experience initiatives, food service programs, fuel operations, safety requirements, regulatory compliance, and company policies across all locations.

Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align operational execution with corporate objectives and support enterprise-wide initiatives.

Lead the operational planning and execution of store openings, acquisitions, remodels, and other strategic growth initiatives.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of progressive retail operations leadership experience, including significant experience leading multi-unit convenience store operations in a senior leadership capacity.

Demonstrated leadership experience in convenience store, fuel retail, and food service operations.

Strong financial acumen with proven success managing P&L performance, budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and profitability initiatives.

Proven track record of improving operational performance, driving sales growth, increasing profitability, and enhancing employee engagement.

Demonstrated ability to lead organizational changes, develop high-performing teams, and successfully execute strategic initiatives.

Exceptional leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

Ability to travel regularly throughout Maryland and Delaware.

Experience supporting or leading store conversions, acquisitions, and related growth initiatives is a plus.
