Join one of the Region's Fastest-Growing Property Management companiesBay Property Management Group is seeking an experienced Multifamily Portfolio Asset Manager to help drive the operational and financial performance of a growing multifamily portfolio spanning Maryland, Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, Pennsylvania, Texas, and surrounding markets.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for a strategic leader who can bridge day-to-day property operations with ownership objectives and long-term asset performance.
The opportunityThis is a high-impact role responsible for overseeing the performance of multifamily communities consisting primarily of 20+ units. You'll work closely with Property Managers, Maintenance Teams, Accounting, Ownership Groups, and Executive Leadership to identify opportunities for revenue growth, improve operational efficiency, oversee capital projects, and maximize portfolio performance.
In addition, you'll play a key role in onboarding newly awarded management accounts, helping ensure smooth transitions and successful long-term outcomes for ownership groups.
What You'll Do- Provide strategic oversight of multifamily asset performance across multiple markets
- Monitor key operational and financial metrics, including occupancy, delinquency, renewals, rent growth, turnover, and NOI
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue and improve portfolio profitability
- Partner with Property Managers to establish performance goals and action plans
- Conduct property inspections and site visits to evaluate operations and asset condition
- Lead and oversee capital improvement projects, renovations, and value-add initiatives
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Prepare performance reports and communicate directly with ownership groups and investors
- Support the onboarding and transition of new management accounts
- Collaborate with Executive Leadership on portfolio strategy and growth initiatives
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in multifamily property management, asset management, portfolio management, or real estate operations
- Proven experience overseeing multifamily communities of 20+ units
- Strong knowledge of property financials, budgets, and operational reporting
- Experience working directly with property owners, investors, or ownership groups
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel periodically throughout the portfolio
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Experience managing assets across multiple geographic markets
- Background in value-add projects, renovations, and capital planning
- Experience with App Folio or similar property management software
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, or a related field
Within your first year, you'll help establish standardized portfolio performance reviews, strengthen owner reporting processes, successfully transition newly acquired management accounts, identify opportunities for revenue growth, improve operational efficiencies, and provide strategic oversight of some of Bay Property Management Group's largest multifamily communities.
