Membership Director Salary Range: $53,000.00 - $58,000.00

The YMCA of Metropolitan Washington is looking for an energetic, community-focused leader to join us as our next Membership Director! What you will do at the Y:Lead Membership & Engagement
- Drive membership growth and retention through exceptional service and relationship-building
- Lead member tours, onboarding, and engagement efforts
- Monitor membership trends and help improve the member experience
- Collaborate with other branch leaders to strengthen the Y’s role as a community hub
- Foster a culture where every person feels welcomed, valued, and supported
- Connect members to programs and opportunities that support their goals and well‑being
- Ensure welcoming and belonging are reflected in all member interactions and experiences
- Recruit, develop, and inspire a high‑performing membership team
- Collaborate with branch leadership to support operational goals and branch initiative
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams to deliver exceptional member experiences
- Experience growing membership and retention through relationship-building and engagement
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for creating welcoming environments
- Results-driven with the ability to use data and execute effectively
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with 3+ years in membership, sales, or customer experience leadership
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Knowledge of the Alexandria community is a plus
