We are seeking to hire a Program Administrator for the
Institute of Human Virology (IHV) Division of Clinical Research to support institute and division leadership and toprovide strategic leadership and direction for complex, high-impact programs, and initiatives within the division and IHV. This position will be inclusive of management, financial oversight,support for contracting and operations, and drive operational excellence, foster collaboration across stakeholders, and ensureprograms are effectively managed to support the organization'smission and strategic objectives.

Essential Functions:- Provides senior level program administration to a program ororganized research center. Achieve objectives of a program/center with campus impact through the coordinated achievements of subordinate staff in all program functions, such as financial,research, research administration, administrative, and outreach.
Supervises administrative staff; develops and implements thebudget; manages and administers grants and contracts; overseesspace and materials needed for teaching, translational clinical care, clinical research, and projects. - Works closely with the department chairs in creating strategic plans and business development strategy for the program/center.
Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and university policies. Manages and plans operations including space, marketing,publications, and business office functions. - Drive strategic planning for program or center to achievelong-term University goals. Responsible for achieving financial objectives for the program/center of responsibility. Prepares anannual budget; negotiates, coordinates, and administers grantsand/or contracts; approves expenditures; analyzes variances; and initiates corrective actions.
- Design, maintain, and implement program or organized researchcenter policies and/or services by establishing standards and procedures; measuring results against standards; making necessary adjustments.
- Resolve problems in matters of significance requiringidentification and analysis of complex variables pertaining toprogram or organized research center or to the University.
- Oversee facility space allocation and layout, communicationservices, furniture, fixtures and equipment design, and planning of facility expansion and/or modification. Act as liaison with Facilities Management to ensure efficient and appropriate facilityrenovations and upgrades.
- Oversee all financial objectives and achievements for the program or organized research center.
- Provide directions to program/center by assuring that proposals and awards are compliant with federal, state, agency, and institutional policies. Direct and manage the authorization andtransmittal of all proposals and negotiates the most complexagreements. Develop, enhance, and provide guidance to all contract and grant functions for program and staff members. Collaborate withupper-level management within program and throughout campus inorder to ensure the deliverance of high-quality service.
- Delegate responsibility for all routine record keeping and reporting, purchasing, and inventory.
- Provide leadership to achieve goals and vision of the programor center and the day-to-day operations. Oversee hiring and retaining staff, career coaching, professional development and accountable for the performance of employees.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in program administration,public administration, finance, marketing, accounting, human resources, or other related field. Master's degree preferred.
Experience:Eight (8) years of experience in administrative and financial operations.
SupervisoryExperience:
Five (5) years of direct supervisoryor management experience.

Hiring Range:$213,520 - $237,245, Commensurate with education and experience
