This supervisor position oversees day-to-day operations of the MAGI/MCHP Policy Unit within Maryland Department of Health's Division of Eligibility Policy. The role manages Medicaid policy inquiries, supervises casework activities, coordinates with state and federal partners, handles fraud and appeals liaisons, and oversees grant processing for 24 local health departments totaling over $9.5 million.
Key qualifications- Eight years of administrative or professional experience developing or applying policies in medical assistance, health insurance, or federal/state entitlement programs (one year minimum in medical ass
- Demonstrated experience analyzing and applying MAGI, MCHP, and MCHP Premium eligibility regulations
- Direct experience supervising staff, assigning casework, conducting evaluations, and training on complex policy matters
- Experience reviewing, processing, and monitoring local government or public health grants
- Experience liaising with external stakeholders such as DHS, CMS, OIG, or OAG to resolve appeals and complex issues
