SummarySUMMARY: Set up and troubleshoot lining equipment to ensure efficient operation in order to meet production needs.
Responsibilities & Authorities- Maintenance and development of new tooling, machines, and other equipment.
- Assist with maintaining older machines and equipment.
- Assist in training of mechanics and operators to ensure they have complete knowledge of process.
- Research and install new technology that will help quality and productivity levels (e.g., fiber-optics, controls, PLC, vision systems and drives).
- Assist in managing shift.
- Collaborate with outside vendors and subcontracting machine shops and sheet metal work.
- Troubleshoot electrical and PLC problems in the department.
- Install sensor systems and diverters on machines to improve productivity.
- Supervise hourly mechanics, assign work, and monitor productivity.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
- Comply with safety, quality, customer, ISO, SQF and other regulatory requirements. Report concerns or suggest improvements when these requirements could be affected.
- Must have 5 years related experience.
- Good computer/software skills.
- Ability to read and write PLC Ladder Logic.
- Ability to read and write electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of computer programming (e.g., basic).
- Excellent attendance and good work history.
- Physical mobility including walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 pounds periodically.
- Ability to work safely in a production environment around moving mechanical parts, and to recognize various sounds and alarms.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
Salary: The starting salary for this position is expected to be between $29 per hour to $34 per hour. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Position may be eligible for Amcor benefit programs, including incentive plans, medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits.
