Grind/Blend Operator

General plant labor, including operating machinery, forklift operation, lab sampling, grinder operation, rotator and slurry meat operation, housekeeping, cleaning, painting, grounds, and general housekeeping in all areas of the plant.

• General plant labor.
• Utilize and operate a forklift
• Utilize lab equipment to take samples and perform tests on products
• Temperature monitoring of product and rotator operation
• Fresh meat sampling/Frozen meat sampling
• Raw product unloading
• Finished product loading
• Plate Freezer Operation
• Inventory counts
• Stretch Wrapper Operation
• Pressure Washer Operation
• Housekeeping, hosing down floors, moping, sweeping, emptying trash, picking up trash, etc.
• Shovel and clean up spills in the plant.
• Keep barrels emptied of trash and products.
• Clean equipment from top to bottom.
• Help unstop screw conveyors.
• Cut plastic and product off of screw.
• Keep floor drains cleaned out and covers on drains.
• Paint as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• This position will typically not supervise another position.

• Ability to read and write.
• Ability to climb stairs and silos.
• Ability to stand for entire shift.

• Standing, climbing, walking, and working overhead
• Ability to lift 50lbs

• Inside and Outside
• Hot and cold temperatures
