Heidelberg Saddle Stitcher Operator Dayshift

K & W finishing, inc., a print-finishing (bindery) company located in Baltimore, Maryland, is seeking an experienced stitcher operator to join its team.

Successful candidates will have the ability to setup and operate Heidelberg Saddle Stitchers. The ideal canidate will be able to set-up and operate one or more additional pieces of equipment from the following list;
Heidelberg Polar Paper Cutter, Stahl Folder, Moll Gluer, Bobst Gluer, Heidelberg Cylinder Press (Die-Cut), Kluge, Brausse, Magestic, Bobst, Windmill, or small machines such as hi-die, round-corner, shrink-wrap, and drill.

Must be knowledgeable about many facets of print-finishing to understand how each job will need to be set-up.

Hours will be Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (day shift), overtime as available/necessary.

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• 5 years in the printing industry

• Ability to make decisions on the best way to produce a quality finished piece;
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand, instructions, and to communicate in English;

• Able to understand what is required of each job and communicate requirements effectively to others;
• Maintain the quality our customers expect;
