Our client in the Baltimore area is seeking a Night Shift Manager with a focus on meat production oversight. The position will oversee multiple production lines, shipping, maintenance, and quality control, with dotted-line responsibility to the plant manager. The position offers flexible hours, though core working hours are 2:30 PM - 12:00 AM, with occasional Saturday shifts.

Responsibilities
:

Management of Operations:
Oversee the day-to-day production across 16 production lines.

Team Leadership:
Directly manage 5 supervisors and a total of 140 hourly direct reports. Strong critical thinking and follow-up skills are crucial to ensuring effective team performance.

Compliance and Safety:
Ensure compliance with HAACP, SQF standards, GMP policies, and SOPs to maintain a safe and high-quality production environment.

Coordination:
Work closely with shipping, maintenance, and quality control (QC) teams, reporting to the plant manager with a dotted line for collaboration.

Operational Support:
Support the oversight of production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.

Qualifications
:

Experience:

At least 7-10 years of management experience in the food or beverage industry.

Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and solid understanding of production processes and safety standards.

Certifications:

Must have HAACP certification and familiarity with SQF standards.

Leadership:
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage a large team, including hourly workers and supervisors.
