Job OverviewBW Paper systems is looking for a Production Planner to join our team. The role is responsible for planning, scheduling, and tracking activities in the operation, aiming to achieve best‑in‑class On‑Time Delivery, Utilization, and Efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Create and maintain the Operations Capacity Plan, linking critical areas such as Machine Shop, Kitting, Assembly and others.
- Create and maintain cell/machine daily/shift build production schedules.
- Collaborate with Assembly team leaders to develop weekly ‘earned hours’ plan, monitor and report actual versus planned hours.
- Report Assembly utilization and efficiency, and analyze KPIs for improvement.
- Develop and maintain build master routings with operation steps, standard times, and parts kits.
- Provide feedback to team leaders regarding standards achievement and give signals/flags to upstream and downstream teams.
- Assist in identifying obstacles to completion for build cycle machines, confirm third‑party priorities and deliveries.
- Participate in evaluation of quotations from contracted manufacturers to ensure best price, quality and supply services.
- Review and adjust balancing or load leveling in Assembly, modify schedules or adjust capacity.
- Confirm MRP dates, drive changes with Supply Chain, and resolve MRP and planning discrepancies.
- Review production schedule requirements with upstream team leaders (Supply Chain, Machine Shop & Kitting).
- Perform lessons learned on machine builds and identify improvement areas.
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- 5+ years of production scheduling in a manufacturing environment or high level planning experience.
Approximate pay range: $76,000 – $95,000 annually. Compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and location.
