Job Description Responsibilities and Duties
- Serve as the manufacturing process owner for assigned manufacturing line(s), responsible for Safety, Delivery, Quality, and Cost.
- Execute assembly, testing, and troubleshooting for assigned platform(s) and instrument production line.
- Work with Manufacturing Operators to meet weekly production goals.
- Troubleshoot electronic circuits, PCBs, mechanical systems, and integrated electromechanical systems, including software.
- Support process engineering activities such as Deviation Waivers, Quality Notifications, Repair/Re‑work forms, and Out‑of‑Tolerance findings.
- Train production associates on assembly and test procedures.
- Collaborate with Engineers to solve design and manufacturing challenges and recommend continuous improvement opportunities.
- Perform feasibility tests and revise, verify, validate, and update procedures for assigned manufacturing line(s).
- Resolve minor manufacturing assembly and test issues to support instrument and sub‑assembly production; also perform testing, validations, and designs of experiments under departmental guidance.
- Follow design and quality guidelines based on Good Manufacturing Practices and BD Quality Standards and Practices.
- Adhere to BD housekeeping and safety policies.
- Be able to work overtime as required to meet BD business requirements.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Minimum two‑year Associate’s degree in mechanical, electronics, or a relevant field (Robotics experience preferred).
- Demonstrated capability to test highly complex electromechanical instruments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to support the process engineering team.
- Proven ability to achieve results and improve performance and processes across a team, work cell, or project.
- Ability to manage time across multiple production orders and processes within allotted time standards.
- Experience leading quality, continuous improvement, and system reviews, including root‑cause analysis and providing solutions.
- Proficiency in system performance analysis and comprehension.
- Leadership skills, mentoring, coaching, and development of other associates.
- Commitment to continuous improvement.
- Fundamental knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and software tools (oscilloscope, OEM software, torque drivers, gauges, bits, etc.).
- Expertise in reading drawings, interpreting and measuring dimensions and requirements.
- Effective teamwork to reach common goals.
- Experience as SME for complex instruments and ability to work with minimal support from Engineers/Technicians.
- Ability to train associates on testing complex systems, conducting repair activities, and complex troubleshooting.
- Ability to manage frequent assignment changes.
- Proficient in English with reading, writing, analysis of charts, following diagrams, and basic arithmetic.
- Strong proficiency with PCs and basic use of a Windows environment.
- Strong math and analytical skills.
- Independent judgment to plan, perform, make decisions, troubleshoot and problem‑solve in set‑up, operations, and processes.
Minimum of 4 days of on‑site presence per week to support collaboration. Employment may be contingent upon proof of vaccination against COVID‑19.

Sparks, MD (7 Loveton Circle). Additional Locations and Work Shift details as specified by the company.
Hourly Salary Range: $33.30 - $53.30 USD.
