Senior Engineering Technician – Ciudad Juarez

Under direct, medium, or null supervision, documents and develops technical functions of low, medium or high complexity, related to tests, Quality control, Layout, Manufacturing, Modification and Assembly of the mechanical equipment and/or its components. Performs Electrical, Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical and testing tasks in areas such as Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Tests and Development. Builds, inspects, calibrates (prepares requisitions to calibrate, calibrations considered as setup), adjusts, verifies and gives maintenance to equipment, components, artifacts and systems.
Responsibilities- Provides support to Technicians or Engineers in matters specific to the discipline.
- Follows standardized procedures when performing tasks, if they apply.
- Keeps work area clean and tidy.
- Starts, adjusts, and operates basic laboratory and manufacturing equipment.
- Has completed environmental and safety training, appropriate for your discipline.
- Writes technical reports of moderate complexity, using graphs and diagrams to describe and illustrate operating characteristics of systems/tests, as well as malfunctions, deviations from design specifications and functional limitations.
- Resolves problems related to electrical, testing, mechanical, hydraulic or installation systems, components and equipment.
- Performs basic operational diagnostic testing, troubleshoots and disconnects components, subassemblies and manufacturing systems, processes and equipment in order to isolate faults, determine the solution and make appropriate repairs.
- Documents all changes.
- Ensures that tools and test equipment are properly calibrated and repaired in accordance with standardized operating procedures.
- Supports and/or carries out the quoting process for equipment and fixtures in preparation for the purchasing process.
- Provides support in the installation and validation processes of required equipment in the assigned area.
- Performs equipment software deployment and its related documentation in eCMMS/PML systems.
- Supports SPC statistical process control processes where applicable.
- Support and/or generation of engineering or ECO changes.
- Correctly develops the process of introducing equipment and fixtures to the clean room following established procedures and requirements such as MLA, PM and calibrations.
- Captures daily tasks in eCMMS or in the system assigned for the purpose.
- Communicates business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
- Follows all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.
- Ensures subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable.
- Ensures personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Performs other duties assigned as needed.
- EDUCATION:
Studies, technical degree or equivalent. - JOB
EXPERIENCE:
4-6 years of related experience in the position. - REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS:
- Knowledge of Dimensions and geometric tolerances.
- Reading and interpretation of component drawings / Knowledge of the Plans.
- Basic English language preferred.
- Ability to successfully complete departmental/corporate training courses in manufacturing techniques.
- Basic ability to read and understand technical documentation associated with the specific discipline.
- Knowledge of GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) / ISO preferably.
- Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance, documentation, calibration procedures and quality systems preferably.
- Ability to use measurement and testing equipment associated with the specific discipline.
- Knowledge of Campus information systems preferably.
- Ability to successfully complete departmental/corporate training courses in manufacturing techniques.
- Ability to use the internal documentation change system.
