Millwright/Mechanic Baltimore, MD Area
We are working with a heavy industrial mechanical contractor that provides the installation, service, and maintenance of power and process systems in the manufacturing and power generation market. We are searching for individuals with experience in the industrial field with mechanical millwright capabilities that can install, maintain, and repair various types of industrial equipment. Projects may include:
- Structural Fabrication
- Structural Erection
- Storage Tanks, Make Up Tanks, Process Tanks
- Process Manufacturing Equipment Removal or Installation
- Conveyor Systems
- Selective Demolition of items described above.
Responsibilities:
- Mechanic:
Aptitude with mechanical machinery for assembly and disassembly. - Millwright:
Ability to set equipment such as, pumps, motors, generators, conveyors, compressors & process equipment. (Fundamentals such as layout for anchor bolts, level (including shim as required), and align motors to couplings) - Ability to interpret plan view drawings for layout of equipment.
- Understanding of mechanical and structural components and how they work together.
Requirements:
- Flexibility to travel between projects on a daily and/or weekly basis.
- Flexibility to work in both clean (food-grade) and dirty (recycling facilities) environments.
- Willing to work at least 40 hours per week (Mon – Thu on a 4-10's schedule), with the flexibility to work overtime as required. Some night shift may be required but is dependent on the client.
- Flexibility to work outside of your trade.
Experience:
- 2-5 Years previous construction experience, preferably as a Mechanical Contractor or Prime Contractor in an industrial environment.
- Understanding of plans, specifications, P&IDs, and ISOs.
- Self-Starter – Ability to work alone on a project, and as part of a team.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Reliable transportation with active driver's license
- US Citizen and/or Green Card Verified
This role is offering an hourly wage from $28.00 - $35.00 per hour and includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, paid holidays, 401(k) with a company match and more.
