Power Plant Operator

BAM Workforce Solutions is partnering within a power generation facility in search of a Plant Operator to join their team. This is a permanent opportunity for an experienced plant professional ready to take on a lead role in the safe and efficient operation of an industrial power facility.

• Take charge of day-to-day boiler operations, keeping combustion, steam output, and emissions running within required safety and environmental limits.
• Stay on top of plant data and act fast when conditions shift to keep everything running safely and at peak efficiency.
• Get your hands dirty during equipment outages, performing inspections and pitching in on maintenance tasks across the facility.
• Move equipment around the facility using forklifts, manlifts, skid steers, and similar machinery.
• Keep communication sharp across the board — with your crew, vendors, and plant leadership.

• 5+ years working in a power plant setting.
• Hands‑on understanding of how steam generating systems work and how to keep them running right.
• Enough mechanical ability to handle tasks like valve repacking, shear pin swaps, and routine equipment checks.
• Comfortable with the math needed to perform daily job functions accurately.
• Experience leading small crews and enforcing safety in an industrial plant setting.
• Background in waste‑to‑energy or incineration facilities is a bonus.
