The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) is recruiting for A Repairman
- Machinist. The A Repairman
- Machinist will perform rail car maintenance and be proficient in the use of engine lathe, milling, boring, presses, precision tool grinding, radial drill, and shop equipment. Must be able to read blueprints; use precision instruments and various hand tools; break down and reassemble various components, as secondary duties; perform bench work from blueprints and templates to manufacture parts; and perform in sections and repairs to brakes, truck and coupler systems, to include the removal and installation of different components.
Must be able to operate service equipment (trucks, forklifts, shop carts, 20-ton cranes, and hoists). Must be able to perform various other duties associated with the Metro Rail Car Maintenance Group. This position is located in Baltimore City.
