Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a 4th Shift General Manufacturing Manager 1 based out of Baltimore, MD.

You will be responsible for the direct supervision of approximately 15-20 represented (union) and non-represented employees and processes in a Manufacturing environment. You will work independently across organizations; manage the use of consumables to achieve budget targets; assign and manage represented EMS Operators and/or Ceramic Material and Process Specialist to maximize efficiency and achieve target productive yields; implement our process improvements to improve affordability, quality, and schedule;

and perform required SAP/MES transactions to manage Operator and/or M&P Specialist.

Shift Hours - 6:00am - 6:00pm (Friday - Sunday)

What You'll Get to Do:

* Direct and coordinate the activities to plan, prepare, issue, and control production schedules, in conjunction with Material Requirements Planning, to meet production/delivery requirements

* Oversees the status of work in process, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that equipment, materials, and services are available, as needed

* Assign and manage staff to maximize efficiency and achieve schedule and target productive yields

* Performs require SAP/MES transactions to manage personnel, planning and financials

* Provides specific direction and training, as required

* Ensures 5S practices within cell areas

* Utilizes both internal and external resources, and coordinates cell and functional activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, inventory control, transportation, etc.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of professional experience in a Manufacturing, Production or Engineering environment;
Master's Degree with 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing, Production or Engineering environment; 9 years of work experience in a Manufacturing, Production or Engineering environment may be considered in lieu of degree

* Experience with coaching and/or mentoring colleagues and/or teams

* Experience with SAP/MES

* Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Level Security Clearance

* U.S. citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:

* Active U.S. Government Secret clearance

* Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, or other STEM area

* Previous project or personnel management experience

* Prior experience working in a represented (union) environment

* Lean Manufacturing Experience

* Technical and/or hands-on Military experience

Primary Level Salary Range: $95,400.00 - $

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
