* Essential Job Functions:

*** Plan and direct short term (shift, day, and weekly) production functions to meet schedule, quality and cost goals.
* Analyze production requirements and problems to implement corrective action in terms of manpower scheduling, equipment needs, and technical problems.
* Provide planning input to the longer term planning functions based on performance, staffing, and equipment availability.
* Review and analyze cost and schedule data of various operations to monitor performance/productivity and implement improvement plans as required.
* Monitor and control overhead spending to work within approved plant operating budgets.
* Enforce work rules and practices in a fair manner to staff and hourly workforce.
* Provide input on methods to improve productivity through equipment acquisition, better methods of assembly, and overhead reductions.
* Ensure employee skills are assessed as needed and create Personnel skills development plans and performance appraisals of all staff.
* Interact with other departments when necessary to ensure proper system function.
* Comply with all safety standards and regulations.
* Delegate work to subordinates when necessary to ensure efficiency and timely completion of all tasks.
* Complete necessary documentation and file appropriately.
** Requirements:
*** Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Management preferred or HS Diploma or GED equivalent and related experience in manufacturing and production supervision.
* At least five years of production and/or supervisory experience.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Strong proficiency in MS Office - specifically MS Word and Excel.
* Flexible Schedule – Ability to work OT when needed.
