Job DescriptionAs an Assembler, you will follow job instructions to assemble cable assemblies from internal drawings and schematics. You will operate hand and power tools such as wire strippers, soldering irons, crimpers, drills, and measuring devices. You will use standard measurement tools to ensure proper assembly dimensions. Your role involves performing precise point-to-point wiring, soldering, and crimping to connect components and cables, following wiring diagrams and bill-of-materials.
You will build and bundle custom wire harnesses and cable assemblies for integration into larger systems, conduct initial quality checks, and maintain production logs, noting any deviations or issues.
- Assemble cable assemblies from drawings and schematics.
- Operate hand and power tools such as wire strippers, soldering irons, crimpers, drills, and measuring devices.
- Use measurement tools to ensure proper assembly dimensions.
- Perform precise point-to-point wiring, soldering, and crimping.
- Build and bundle custom wire harnesses and cable assemblies.
- Conduct initial quality checks and maintain production logs.
- Proficiency in assembly and cable assembly.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Understanding of electrical and electronic principles, component functions, and safety procedures.
- Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination to work with small parts.
- Experience with soldering equipment.
- Familiarity with blueprints, mechanical assembly, and electrical assembly.
Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of J-STD-001, AS9100, ISO 9001, IPC 620 class 2 and 3 is a plus.
- Experience with hand and power tools, tape measure, and mechanical aptitude.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
