The Manufacturing Operations Manager 3 oversees the AMEC Manufacturing Cell Team in Baltimore, MD, with responsibility for over 100 employees including manufacturing and union‑represented staff. The primary mission is to meet or exceed customer requirements by delivering quality products on time and within program cost targets while promoting a lean manufacturing environment.

• Providing leadership direction in areas such as Technical Guidance, Process Development, Continuous Improvement, Capacity Planning, Capital & Facility Planning, Cost/Benefit Analysis, Manpower Planning, Staffing, Performance Management, and ISO
  9001, AS9100 and all auditable processes.
• Managing annual budgetary responsibilities of $1M–$1.5M.
• Providing directions to employees utilizing management guidelines and general policies.
• Driving employee efficiency.
• Meeting product cost and schedule targets.
• Managing the area to produce quality products.
• Engaging employees to achieve their highest potential.

• Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment, or Master’s Degree with 6 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Experience as a Functional Leader across teams.
• Experience with effective communication with all levels of Manufacturing, Program, Engineering, Functional Support Management, and Professionals.
• Experience with developing and managing budgets with responsibility for cost performance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Level Security Clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

• Experience working in a union‑represented environment.
• Experience with robotics, RF, ISO
  9001/AS9100.
• Lean manufacturing and process improvement experience.
• Active Secret level security clearance.
• Experience with the following metrics:
  Performance Index, Utilization, Test Yields, and Rework Hours.
• Technical STEM degree.
