Job Summary:
Position includes operating heavy machinery used in the fabrication of structural steel and miscellaneous metals. Equipment types include but are not limited to CNC plasma machines, CNC beam lines, CNC band saw, standard band saws, angle master, sanders, press brake, pipe bender, ironworkers, overhead cranes, forklifts. Machine operators are responsible for creating large and small parts to be used in fabrication and track numbers, dimensions, location of holes and cuts and organizing parts.
Essential Job Functions:- Monitor and maintain fabrication machinery.
- Set up manufacturing equipment.
- Provide mentorship in on the job shadowing and training of new or entry level Machine Operators.
- Using machine equipment to complete tasks.
- Performing routine inspections of manufacturing equipment.
