MRAS, a pioneering leader in the aerospace sector, is seeking a skilled Composite Technician to join our dedicated Engineering & Maintenance team. With a focus on the advancement of jet engine components, particularly integrally bladed rotors (IBRs), MRAS excels in providing high-quality, innovative solutions. As a Composite Technician, you will play a crucial role in fabricating and repairing advanced composite materials used in aerospace applications, ensuring they meet our stringent engineering specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricating and repairing composite materials for aircraft components according to predefined specifications and schematics.
  • Using tools and implements like autoclaves, ply cutters, and hand tools to manipulate materials.
  • Evaluating and inspecting finished items for adherence to quality and engineering standards.
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated NDT reports.
  • Maintaining clean and safe work areas in compliance with safety protocols specific to composite materials handling.
  • Documenting manufacturing and repair processes for quality assurance and future referencing.
  • Collaborating with engineering and production teams to develop and improve techniques and processes for composite fabrication.

Required Skills

  • Proficient in the use of specialized tools for composite fabrication and repair.
  • Adept in reading and interpreting technical documentation and blueprints.
  • Strong understanding of composite materials and their application in aerospace engineering.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow complex instructions and work effectively in a team.
