Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a 2nd Shift General Manufacturing Manager 1based out of Linthicum, MD. You will be responsible for the direct supervision of approximately 15 - 20 represented (union) employees and processes in a Manufacturing environment for ACT –
Assembly Coating and Test. You will work independently across organizations; manage the use of consumables to achieve budget targets; assign and manage represented EMS Operators to maximize efficiency and achieve target productive yields; implement our process improvements to improve affordability, quality, and schedule; and perform required SAP/MES transactions to manage Operator and/or M&P Specialist.

Basic Qualifications For General Manufacturing Manager 1

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience working in Manufacturing, Production, IT, Engineering environment or equivalent experience, Master’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience working in Manufacturing, Production, IT, Engineering environment or equivalent experience;
  High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 9 years of experience working in Manufacturing, Production, IT or Engineering environment or equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience leading and/or managing people and/or projects
• The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Level Security Clearance is required.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications For General Manufacturing Manager 1

• Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance.
• Experience with SAP/MES.
• Experience with ISO, 5S, CI, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Prior experience working in a represented (union) environment.
