Manager of Business Development and Communications
Location:
Washington, DC | New York, NY | Los Angeles, CA | Chicago, IL | Cleveland, OH
We are seeking an accomplished Manager of Business Development and Communications to lead strategic media relations, social media initiatives, and public-facing communications for a highly respected and top ranked global organization.
In this role, you will:
- Manage proactive and responsive outreach to business, legal, and financial media.
- Build and maintain relationships with reporters, editors, and broadcast media.
- Oversee the organization’s social media presence, primarily Linked In.
- Guide messaging strategy to ensure brand consistency across platforms.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors on digital content, PR campaigns, and multimedia projects.
- Maintain brand/style guidelines and ensure communications align with organizational values.
What we’re looking for:
- 5–10 years in public/media relations within professional services (law firm experience a plus).
- Strong media network in business, legal, and financial sectors.
- Skilled in social media strategy and messaging.
- Experience with media analytics and contact databases (Cision, Meltwater, Muck Rack, Trendkite, or Roxhill).
- Familiarity with project management tools (Sprinklr or Workfront a plus).
