The UMBC Athletics Department is looking for a creative and motivated self-starter who will oversee marketing communications and development to create an exciting and unique gameday atmosphere through in-game sponsor activations, exclusive giveaways, and theme nights. The employee will also play a part in external marketing to the greater Baltimore/Catonsville/Arbutus community to grow engagement and serve the community. The ideal candidate will have a sharp passion for athletics with a keen business sense for creating fresh campaigns to elevate the UMBC brand.

Telework:
A hybrid telework schedule may be available.
Responsibilities:
- Develop promotional schedule for home events.
- Develop fan engagement initiatives (in-game and in the community).
- Assist with budget management and ordering of promotional/giveaway items.
- Develop social marketing strategies to help grow attendance.
- Secondary Ticketing contact.
- Managing UMBC Athletics and individual spoarts email outreach.
Required
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferably in a relevant field.
- 1 year in a intercollegiate or professional sports marketing role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- 2+ years of marketing experience at the intercollegiate level.
- Experience with supervision of interns or student workers.
- Strong sense of the current Division 1 mid-major landscape.
- General understanding of ticketing procedures.
- Tuition remission at UMBC for eligible dependents after two years of FT employment

Salary: $54,000 - $61,000depending on qualifications and experience.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.
The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
