Counselors in the Community Association (CITCA) is a community-based nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening mental health, workforce readiness, and civic engagement for underserved populations. CITCA serves at-risk, justice-involved, and neurodivergent youth and young adults through Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) rehabilitation, workforce development, and applied learning initiatives. CITCA is seeking a Grants and Procurement VISTA Associate to support organizational growth by building sustainable funding and procurement systems.
This is a capacity-building role focused on strengthening internal infrastructure that allows CITCA to pursue grants, public contracts, and partnerships that expand access to education, employment pathways, and social-emotional supports. The VISTA will research funding opportunities, develop grant and procurement tracking systems, organize program documentation, and support partnership and data systems. The member will also create tools and resources that improve funding readiness and reduce reliance on informal processes.
The VISTA's work will strengthen long-term organizational capacity and help ensure that CITCA can continue serving individuals impacted by poverty, mental health challenges, and limited access to workforce opportunities. Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.
Member Duties :
The Ameri Corps VISTA member will build organizational capacity by strengthening grants, procurement, and partnership systems for a community-based nonprofit. The member will research funding and public-sector procurement opportunities, prepare applications and proposals, develop tracking tools and funding calendars, and create procurement readiness materials. They will organize and document program models, develop program briefs and logic models, and standardize internal workflows related to funding and partnerships.
The member will also support partnership mapping and basic data and outcome tracking systems.
