Overview
The Ameri Corps VISTA member will strengthen organizational capacity at The Salvation Army Solomon G. Brown Corps by developing sustainable systems for the Youth After school Program and Red Kettle Campaign. The member will support recruitment, enrollment, data management, parent engagement, volunteer coordination, program evaluation, and Learn
24 compliance for youth programming. They will also assist with planning and infrastructure for a summer day camp serving local youth. Additionally, the member will improve Red Kettle operations by enhancing volunteer recruitment, training materials, campaign procedures, data tracking, and reporting systems. Through these capacity-building activities, the VISTA member will help create sustainable processes that expand services, increase community engagement, and strengthen long-term program effectiveness.
Duties
Establish and Enhance the Youth After school Program Infrastructure and Build Sustainable Systems for the Red Kettle Campaign. Build operational capacity, enrollment systems, and retention strategies for the Youth After school Program to effectively serve families in Southeast Washington, D.C., in compliance with DC Learn
24 OST requirements. Strengthen seasonal staffing, volunteer recruitment, training, and data systems for the Red Kettle Campaign in Southeast Washington, D.C.
