Virtual Committee. Chimes in a non-profit human services provider. We have subsidiaries in several states, but are seeking non-agency committee members for our virtual Baltimore, MD Human Rights Committee.
We currently have 53 group homes, a medical day program, and a vocational program.
The committee meets once a month. Meetings are generally held on the third Friday of the month, and generally last 1-2 hours.
All meetings are held once a month via Zoom. Since we meet via Zoom, you can “come as you are."We are a very upbeat committee. Most of our members have been with Chimes for more than ten years.
We are seeking volunteers who can provide the following:
- A willingness to be a strong advocate for individuals with disabilities.
- Assistance with reviewing and offering input on behavioral plans.
- Input pertaining to State mandated and internal investigations.
- Committee members who can review our policies and procedures and offer unbiased input.
Qualifications:
18 and older.
- Family members of those with developmental disabilities.
- Psychologists, psychology students, and graduate students.
- Teachers (a perfect opportunity for those on School breaks.)
- Nurses.
- Social Workers.
- Counselors and therapists.
- /DD advocates.
- Service Coordinators, family members of individuals with disabilities, persons who "have a heart" for those with disabilities.
