Compensation & Benefits:Salary Range
: $60,000 - $65,000; commensurate with experience.

Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Advancement, the Manager of Institutional and Individual Giving plays a vital role on the Chesapeake Bay Outward Bound School's (CBOBS) advancement team. Specific responsibilities include identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding corporations, public and private foundations in the greater-Baltimore region. In addition, they will manage annual giving operations (Under $5,000), cultivating prospects and creating a pipeline of major gift support.
This is a frontline fundraising position; the Manager of Institutional and Individual Giving will strategically match prospective funders with CBOBS’s funding priorities. In addition, this position will be the lead project manager for the annual Cornerstone Celebration. This is a hybrid position; the Manager of Institutional and Individual Giving will be based out of CBOBS' Baltimore headquarters.
The essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
Portfolio Management:- Lead a portfolio that raises up to $850,000 annually.
- Implement and proactively manage a development plan focused on expanding and enhancing corporate and foundation relationships to increase contributed revenue;
- Proactively research corporate and foundation prospects, and draft compelling letters of inquiry to drive the successful solicitation of five- and six-figure philanthropic commitments;
- Build and strengthen relationships by conducting 100+ virtual and/ or in-person meetings annually with foundations and annual donors;
- Collaborate with the Special Projects Manager to develop a corporate sponsorship program that incorporates adult/corporate day programs as a sponsorship benefit;
- Draft highly competitive proposals for corporate and foundation opportunities, including strong impact statements, budget, and collateral materials for timely submission;
- Screen and research annual givers who have the capacity to become major donors;
- Work with the Communications Manager to draft and distribute compelling annual giving communications and newsletters;
- Assist in the implementation of the donor stewardship plan;
- Proactively advance prospects and donors through the moves management cycle, including identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship, resulting in secured gifts and annual goal attainment;
