The Executive Director will serve as the chief executive and public face of Stocks in the Future, responsible for leading strategy, fundraising, partnerships, program growth, staff development, and community impact. This leader will combine a passion for educational equity and financial literacy with strong nonprofit management, relationship‑building, and fundraising skills. The Executive Director will work closely with the Board to expand SIF’s reach, deepen school and community partnerships, and strengthen the organization’s financial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership- Lead execution of SIF’s strategic plan and refine priorities as the organization grows.
- Expand SIF’s role in advancing financial education, wealth equity, and student opportunity.
- Partner with the Board on governance, planning, risk management, and organizational priorities.
- Oversee delivery and continuous improvement of SIF’s financial education and virtual investing programs.
- Strengthen relationships with partner schools, teachers, students, families, and community organizations.
- Use data and feedback to evaluate program quality, student engagement, and impact.
- Lead fundraising strategy across individual giving, grants, corporate sponsor ships, events, and partnerships.
- Cultivate donors, foundations, financial institutions, civic leaders, and corporate supporters.
- Serve as a compelling spokesperson for SIF’s mission in the Baltimore region and beyond.
- Oversee signature events and campaigns that build visibility and financial support.
- Manage staff, budget, systems, and day‑to‑day operations.
- Build a collaborative, mission‑driven, accountable team culture.
- Ensure strong financial controls, reporting, compliance, and operational discipline.
- Support and engage the Board of Directors as strategic partners, ambassadors, and fundraisers.
- Provide clear reporting on financial performance, program outcomes, development activity, and strategic progress.
The Ideal Candidate Will Bring
- Senior leadership experience in nonprofit management, education, youth development, community development, financial services, philanthropy, or a related field.
- Demonstrated fundraising success.
- Passion for financial literacy, educational equity, and expanding opportunity for underserved students.
- Strong communication and public‑speaking skills.
- Experience working with schools, community partners, donors, boards, and volunteers.
- Ability to manage both strategy and execution in a small or growing nonprofit.
- Financial acumen and comfort with budgeting, reporting, and organizational performance metrics.
- A collaborative, entrepreneurial, and mission‑centered leadership style.
- Build trust with staff, Board, schools, donors, and community partners.
- Assess current programs, fundraising capacity, and operating model.
- Strengthen SIF’s donor pipeline and corporate partnership strategy.
- Increase visibility for SIF’s student impact and financial education mission.
- Create a practical growth plan for expanding reach while preserving program quality.
Starting salary $55,000–75,000, commensurate with experience, with growth tied to organizational milestones
