Job specification

• Provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
• Monitor the health of mothers and babies, identifying and responding to any complications or emergencies.
• Administer medications, assist with pain management, and support mothers through various stages of labor.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a safe and positive birth experience.
• Educate mothers and their families on childbirth, postpartum care, and newborn care.

Candidate requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland.
• An associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery or maternal-child health.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is preferred.
