Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-risk Labor & Delivery position on a Level IV Perinatal Center unit, requiring NCC-EFM certification and a minimum of two years of high-risk L&D experience.
Responsibilities- High-risk Labor & Delivery unit (Zayed
8) within a large academic medical center setting - Level IV Perinatal Center (NICU) designation
- Unit includes 6 triage rooms, 10 LDRs, 3 operating rooms, and 3 PACU rooms
- High-risk obstetric patient population
- Rotating 7A/7P shift schedule (12-hour shifts)
- Epic EMR required, including both inpatient and Stork modules
- Floating required to areas of like skill set, including antepartum, postpartum, nursery, and mother/baby
- Candidates without a current NCC-EFM certification will not be considered for this position
- EFM certification enables the RN to perform non-stress tests (NSTs); NCC-EFM is mandated by the facility's insurer (MCIC)
- Upon EFM recertification, the original testing date remains unchanged but a new expiration date is issued 3 years from the most recent recertification
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
- Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of current high-risk L&D experience required
- Experience in a facility with 500+ beds required
- NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification required — AWHONN is not accepted
- Current BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association, Red Cross, or a recognized international AHA affiliate or Military Training Network
- NRP Advanced Provider certification through the American Academy of Pediatrics (RQI for NRP provider status also accepted)
- STABLE certification required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR (inpatient and Stork) required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Active licensure and one professional reference required for consideration
