Experience:

Trained and worked in a dedicated Open-Heart Unit receiving patients directly from the operating room.
License: RN License

Certifications:

BLS; ACLS preferred
Must-Have:
Current experience with the recovery of post-operative cardiac surgery patients in an ICU setting; experience with ventilators, CRRT, Swan-Ganz catheters, epicardial wires/pacemakers, vasoactive drips titration, Level 1 IABP, ECMO.

Description:

This position involves providing care for patients recovering from cardiac surgery, cardiac transplantation, lung transplantation, and the placement of ventricular assist devices, among other complex procedures.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1 or 1:2.
Experience in critical care environments is essential.
Certification in Critical Care and completion of a trauma course are preferred.
Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is also advantageous.
