Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a High-Risk Labor & Delivery position requiring NCC-EFM certification and a minimum of 2 years of high-risk L&D experience.
Responsibilities- High-risk Labor & Delivery unit (Zayed
8) within a large academic medical center - Level IV Perinatal Center with 6 triage rooms, 10 LDRs, 3 operating rooms, and 3 PACU beds
- Patient population consists of high-risk obstetric cases
- Rotating AM/PM 12-hour shifts (7A/7P rotation)
- Floating required as needed to areas of like skill set including antepartum, postpartum, nursery, and mother/baby
- Epic (Inpatient and Stork) is the EMR used on this unit
- 13-week contract
- Candidates without a current NCC-EFM certification will not be interviewed
- NCC-EFM certification allows the RN to perform non-stress tests (NSTs); upon recertification, the original testing date is retained but a new expiration date is issued 3 years from the most recent recertification
- This facility is a MEIMMS Certified Level IV Perinatal Center with an on-site NICU
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of current high-risk L&D experience required
- Experience at a facility with 500+ beds required
- Current BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association, Red Cross, a recognized international AHA affiliate, or Military Training Network
- NRP Advanced Provider certification through the American Academy of Pediatrics (RQI for NRP provider status also accepted)
- NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification required — AWHONN is not acceptable
- STABLE certification required
- Experience with NST (non-stress test) required
- Epic (Inpatient and Stork) experience required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Active licensure and 1 professional reference required for consideration
