UW Health is seeking a Physician Assistant Clinic Pain Management for a job in Madison, Wisconsin.

Work Schedule

100% FTE, hours: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm or 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. No weekends, holidays, or call.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct chart reviews, see patient follow-up, evaluate patients for pain procedures
  • Perform in-person, phone, telehealth, and emergency in-person consults
  • Coordinate care team with Pain Medical Director or Site Physician
  • Order additional tests and medications as needed
Education
  • If Nurse Practitioner:
    Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nursing Program.
  • If Physician Assistant:
    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited PA Program.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Minimum – State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure
  • If Nurse Practitioner:
    Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice, and active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice (Adult, Adult/Gerontology Primary Care, Adult Acute Care, or Family).
  • If Physician Assistant:
    Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice, and active PA board certification.
  • All applications must have an active DEA license or ability to apply prior to or upon hire.
